FieldScope Terms of Service

Effective 10/27/26 · Version 1.0

These terms govern a restoration company's use of FieldScope, the field documentation app at app.fieldscope.work, provided by FieldScope LLC.

Some features these terms describe, such as Priority Response and time records, are released over time or may not be part of your plan. A section about a feature applies when your company uses that feature.

1. Who these terms are for

These terms are an agreement between FieldScope LLC, a Colorado limited liability company ("FieldScope", "we"), and the business that signs up for FieldScope ("Customer", "you"). The person who accepts them confirms they have authority to bind that business.

If you use FieldScope on behalf of a company, "you" means that company.

2. Accounts, roles and users

You're responsible for your workspace and everything done in it by your Users.

3. Plans, fees and payment

You pay the fees for the plan you choose, as described at sign-up or in an order form.

4. Acceptable use

Use FieldScope only for lawful business purposes. You and your Users won't:

We may remove content or limit access that breaks these rules (section 11).

5. Your data and your customers' data

You own your Customer Data. You give FieldScope permission to store, process, display and transmit it only to provide, secure and support the Service for you, and as the law requires.

6. AI features

FieldScope includes AI features, for example drafting scope lines, reading photos and sketches, summarizing a job, and answering questions in the assistant. AI output is a suggestion for a person to review, not a professional judgment.

7. Documents, templates and contract wording

FieldScope gives you document templates, which are layouts and structure. The contract wording in them is yours. That covers your work authorization, proposal, completion and waiver terms, consent additions, cancellation notices, emergency request wording, insurance assignment wording, and any document you upload.

8. Electronic signatures and secure document links

FieldScope provides tools for sending documents through secure links and collecting electronic signatures. The tools are designed to support the requirements of the federal ESIGN Act and Colorado's Uniform Electronic Transactions Act for electronic records and signatures. Whether a particular agreement is valid or enforceable depends on its content, the parties and the circumstances, which are your responsibility (section 7).

8A. Priority Response and building information

FieldScope's Priority Response features let you keep building profiles for the properties you serve and post QR signs where occupants can report a problem.

9. Third-party services and trademarks

FieldScope relies on outside providers for hosting, email and AI, listed in the Privacy Policy. Some features hand you off to other services you choose to use, such as your email app, phone messaging, calendar or your own payment link. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.

10. Security, availability and changes to the service

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect Customer Data, as described in the Privacy Policy. No system is perfectly secure.

11. Suspension, termination and getting your data out

You can stop using FieldScope at any time by closing your account. Either side may end these terms if the other materially breaks them and doesn't fix it within 30 days of notice.

12. Disclaimers

Except as these terms expressly say, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, FieldScope disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.

Without limiting that, FieldScope doesn't promise that:

You remain responsible for professional decisions on your jobs, including safety, moisture readings, drying goals, demolition and what you bill.

Time records. FieldScope's time entries and T&M tickets are job records for documentation and billing. They aren't a payroll system, and FieldScope doesn't calculate wages. As the employer, you're responsible for complying with wage-and-hour laws, including overtime, rest and meal breaks, recordkeeping, and any notice or consent required before recording employees' locations. The overtime rule and other time settings in FieldScope are yours to configure. FieldScope records location for time entries only at clock-in and clock-out, and only when you turn it on. It never tracks location continuously or while someone is clocked out, and it doesn't collect fingerprints, face scans or other biometric data.

Insurance claims. FieldScope helps you document your own work and prepare requests for payment for it. FieldScope isn't a public adjuster. It doesn't act for any insured, negotiate coverage or settlements, or contact insurers for you. You decide what to send to an insurer, and you send it.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

14. Indemnification

You'll defend and indemnify FieldScope against third-party claims arising from:

FieldScope will defend and indemnify you against third-party claims that the Service, as we provide it, infringes their intellectual property rights. This excludes claims caused by your data, your documents, or changes or combinations we didn't make.

The side asking for protection must tell the other promptly, let them control the defense, and cooperate reasonably.

15. Ownership and feedback

FieldScope LLC owns the Service, including its software, templates, designs and documentation. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your business while your account is active. They don't transfer any ownership.

If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything. Feature requests you send through the app go to FieldScope only; other customers don't see them.

16. Governing law and disputes

Colorado law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

17. Changes to these terms, notices and general terms
